Astrology and astronomy were inseparable in ancient times. About 500 years ago, the two disciplines were originally one. In ancient times, the main motivation for observing celestial phenomena was for the purpose of astrology, and no one observed celestial phenomena purely for science. Same sky, different perspectives: Astrology and astronomy both study the sky, but from different starting points. Astrology focuses on the impact of celestial bodies on human destiny, while astronomy focuses on the movement and properties of celestial bodies themselves. However, after the scientific revolution, the two went their separate ways. Scientists began to regard astrology as superstition, and astronomy gradually became an independent natural science. Astrology, on the other hand, tended to be a humanistic art. However, at that time, famous scientists such as Copernicus, Galileo, and Newton were all proficient in astrology in their early years, reflecting the close connection between the two at that time. Today, most astronomers no longer study astrology, but astrologers still need to have knowledge of astronomy in order to accurately calculate the positions of stars.
In ancient times, drawing an accurate astrolabe required complex calculations, which was time-consuming and laborious. In modern times, computer technology has greatly simplified the process, and a astrolabe can be automatically generated by simply inputting data.
Astrology is based on the positions of planets, nodes, and other celestial bodies obtained through astronomical observation and calculation. Astronomy is the scientific observation, theory, and mathematical operation that explores the movement and properties of celestial bodies. Astrology is the interpretation of the celestial bodies' influence on individuals. The impact of events depends on astronomical observations and astrological calculations.
In simple terms, to learn astrology, one must master the basics of astronomy and understand the distribution and interrelationship of planets in constellations and houses. Although astrology and astronomy are now different fields, they have an inseparable origin in history. The development of astrology is based on astronomical observations and calculations, and to learn astrology, one must also have certain astronomical knowledge. The two can be said to be exploring the universe from different angles under the same sky.
Example:The season of birth determines the sign of the sun (Aries are always born in spring).) The house where the sun is located is determined by the time of birth (the sun must be in10 house). Therefore, the sun can be said to be the most important star in the horoscope, representing vitality, and accounting for almost one-third of the entire horoscope's destiny.
The angles of the sun and moon can be known from the lunar date of birth (Lunar calendar 15. People born on the day of the month must be180 degree. The moon is also an important star in the horoscope, representing the inner emotions. Together with the rising point and the mid-heaven point, these four key points are the most important parts to interpret the horoscope.
